A woman's body is always an art. She has been the subject of so many works of art since man has discovered painting and sculpture. Tattoo is also an art, arguably so. Art has always been about self-expression. What better way than for certain type of artist to express it on a live canvass, the skin
Most women prefer tattoo designs which are small and sexy. Most famous of these designs are the star, butterfly, rosary beads, and angel wings, roses surrounded by barbed wire, vines, mythical creatures and other floral designs. The most common locations for women to have tattoos are the wrist, ankle, back of the neck, near the belly button and the lower back
The consideration for tattoo placement is if it is partially exposed. There is something titillating about seeing something partially hidden to public eye. It is for this reason that the most popular spot for women to get inked is the lower back

Frederick Leighton born in 1830 was a British painter. His paintings covered variety of subject ranging from depiction of historical events to biblical mythology. He painted many frames that could be stamped as classical paintings, too. Leighton had a big group of followers. Queen Victoria was among those who praised and purchased his paintings. The painting titled as Icarus and Daedalus had been one of the most famous artworks done by him. It is based on the mythological story of Daedalus
Frederick had master the art of figurative painting. The figurative painting as a genre and the figurative painters as a class of artists have never been sailing easily. They faced a lot at the hands of religious heads, the rulers, general public, and some sections of art-lovers, too. But the genre has not only survived; it has flourished. And the artist like Frederick Leighton had made it so thriving along with others; as his paintings revealed the true spirit of Victorian period. He took pride in painting the events of ancient Greece and Rome
Frederick would also choose subject that could bear the sensual appeal to the eyes of viewers. Such variety of subject has mad his style of painting so simple. One of his paintings titled as Actaea depicted the cloth-less woman, a nymph. In this painting the woman is reclining on seashore. In Greek mythology, the nymphs are the female spirits. These nymphs have remained subject of many painters who desired to paint sensual skin. In such paintings the artists also want showing the power of female figure putting it before the eyes of viewer.
Figurative painting reflects deep understanding of the artist doing it, as it is depiction of the anatomy of human body. In addition to that an artist tries to show the emotions through such paintings, as it could reveal the psyche of the person painted or portrayed, too. The master artists do so in the gentlest manner possible, as figurative painting would also require recreations of the gestures of the model. By doing so, a painter like Frederick Leighton would forge his reputation as an artist
Frederick was master in depiction such sensual gestures of women without clothes in his paintings. The painting of a female without clothes is always subjected to personal interpretation of a painter, so far as her depicted form is concerned. Even the postures of female models tell inherent tales. Even the moods revealed by the postures and gestures of bare-body female models depicted in a painting tend to be an exclusive interpretation of an artist

Model Body Painting 2011

The only new dinosaur model to be added to the Safari Carnegie Dinosaur Collectibles range this year is a scale model (1:25 scale) of the Early Jurassic carnivore - Cryolophosaurus. This dinosaur is affectionately known as "Elvis". This has nothing to do with the animal's singing voice, as far as we know, and certainly there is no evidence preserved in the fossil record that such a dinosaur would break into "All Shook Up" or "Jailhouse Rock"
The nickname is due to the bizarre forward facing crest, located on the skull just above and in front of the eyes. This crest resembles the "quiff" hair style of the American songster - so Cryolophosaurus acquired the nickname of "Elvis" during the excavation of the first skull material found, a name that this dinosaur has been stuck with ever since.
Cryolophosaurus is one of a very few Theropod dinosaurs (bipedal, meat-eaters) whose fossil remains have been found in Antarctica. During the Jurassic period, the landmass that was to become the frozen wastes of Antarctica we know today, was much further north. It was also joined to Africa, India and Australia, forming the southern portion of a huge super-continent called Gondwana
Although scientists have found no evidence for polar ice caps during the Jurassic Period, the very southerly latitude of the area where the fossils of Cryolophosaurus have been found would have presented dinosaurs living there with some unique challenges. For example, although the climate was much milder, the short days of the polar winter would have meant that plants did not grow, so herbivores would have difficulty in feeding, which in turn may have put pressure on the large carnivores like Cryolophosaurus that hunted them
Cryolophosaurus was one of the largest carnivores of the Early Jurassic, it was formally named and described in 1994. Measuring something like 7 metres from the tip of its thin snout down to the end of its very long tail, this animal was a fast running, bipedal predator

"On White II" is a phenomenal creation by Russian painter Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky. Created in the year 1923, this painting is a classic example of 'Abstract Geometrical Art,' based on different geometric forms and shapes, especially portrayed in a non-illusionistic manner
Kandinsky's "On White II" is a work of detailed analysis and critical precision. Each geometric feature, right from a triangle to a circle to even the points, the lines, and even the surface used for painting, all involve a meticulous competence. In Wassily's words, these are called as 'the basic plan.' So powerful 'Abstract Geometrical Art' was that it was later included in the curriculum of an architecture & art school, 'The Bauhaus.
The span of the details of Kandinsky's, "On White II" spans to include each unit of it. Each point of this artwork is significant in its own way. This 105cm x 98cm creation depicts a magnificent usage of complex shapes, climaxed with an interesting harmony of colors
A milestone of the twentieth century 'Modern Art,' "On White II" definitely manages to catch a viewer's attention for good. It will compel you for its critical analysis, leaving you amazed. The original and the excellent color scheme of the painting reflect Wassily's love for freedom and imagination, while portraying a broad spectrum of emotions
The prolific white was used to endless dimensions, thereby representing the possibilities and the opportunities of life, while expressing peace and silence as well. On the other hand, Black portrays the non-existent, the nothingness, and the terminal death. "On White II" employs an intelligent and an expressive combination of these two key colors, black and white. The next attention catching hues are blue and yellow

In 1932, Nelson Rockefeller commissioned Mexican muralist Diego Rivera to paint a mural for the ground floor lobby of the Radio Corporation Arts Building in the Rockefeller Center. The painting was supposed to depict in Rockefeller's own words "Man at the Crossroads Looking with Hope and High Vision to the Choosing of a New and Better Future." Rivera proposed a 63-foot mural. He started working on the mural with the help of six assistants, in March 1933
"Man at the Crossroads" proved out to be one of the most groundbreaking works of Diego Rivera. The center of the painting portrayed a commanding industrial worker with his hands on the controls of heavy machinery. The crossroads were formed by two long narrow slides intersecting at the centre, right below the worker
One slide displayed a microscopic view of body cells, reflecting sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and another presented a telescopic view of the universe. The painting was roughly divided into two sections. The left panel showed elite people, especially women, enjoying, drinking, and partying. A contrast was reflected on the same side with a group of people protesting and being clubbed by the police
The right side of "Man at the Crossroads" showed a May Day parade with workers and people living in harmony. At the center of the left side, there was an image of Vladimir Lenin (Russian communist leader), as if joining hands in power with a black farmer, a white worker, and a soldier. The presence of Lenin in the painting hinted at an 'Anti-Capitalist' flavo
To avoid any kind of political controversy, Nelson Rockefeller requested Rivera to replace the face of Lenin with any ordinary face. Diego was an ardent fan of the Soviet leader and so he refused to replace Lenin in the painting. He instead offered to add American leader Abraham Lincoln's face to another part of the mural. Their differences were never resolved.
